Masterson’s Tavern , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my recent visit at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I found behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I entered , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of uncleaned spills and uncleaned toilets polluted the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , decay and a sickly smell.
